Bus Ministry
WHAT TO EXPECT ON SATURDAY:
An adult volunteer from the New Testament Baptist Church will attempt to visit your family every Saturday. If you are NOT home, the adult volunteer will leave a flyer in your door to let you know that the adult volunteer was there. The adult volunteer may also contact you by telephone on Saturday, if a need arises.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Since the bus will be transporting the riders to church, everyone is encouraged to wear their “Sunday best.” This varies from family to family. We ask that everyone be respectful in the manner in which they dress when attending church. Our church is not interested in judging people by the way they are dressed. Our church is interested in helping people by introducing them to Jesus Christ.
WHAT TO BRING:
Those who have a Bible should bring it with them every week. The Bible is the textbook at New Testament Baptist Church. If you do not have a Bible, our church will work with you so that you can earn a Bible.
Please help us by leaving video games, IPODs, mp3 players and electronic devices at home. This will eliminate any unnecessary distractions while at church. It will also ensure that these valuables are NOT lost or misplaced while at church.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON SUNDAY:
A church volunteer will come to your door and escort you to the church bus. Be sure to always cross in FRONT of the bus and be careful crossing the road.
Once aboard the bus, you will be greeted by our volunteers who will assist you in finding a seat. The volunteers will lead the riders in singing songs, playing games, and telling Bible stories while picking up additional riders.
Once at church, riders will be escorted to their Sunday School classes at 10 AM and then to the Morning Service at 11 AM. Church services traditionally end around 12:15 PM.
Volunteers will assist riders in boarding the bus after church so that they can be transported home in a timely manner. The volunteers will lead the riders in singing songs, playing games, and telling Bible stories while dropping off riders at their home.
