Bible Preaching - Stirring Singing - Revival Spirit
Our Pastor, Bro. Brian Lott
WHAT WE BELIEVE "...an exciting, growing independent Baptist Church!"
God - We believe that God is the creator of all things; the Supreme Being by Whom all things have their source, support and end. He is the one true, self existent God, manifested in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. He reveals Himself to us in nature, by His written Word, and by His Son, Jesus Christ.

Scriptures - We believe the King James Bible is the infallible and inerrant preserved Word of God. We believe that God gave us His Word through verbal and plenary inspiration by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Scriptures are the Old and New Testaments, contained in sixty-six books, penned by the men of God as He spoke to them. God's Word is the rule by which believers have their faith and practice. it is the finished revelation of God to man and His instruction to us for salvation, fellowship, and plan for mankind. The Word of God is eternal and was manifested in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ - We Believe that Jesus Christ is the true God. He is the second Person of the Godhead; the eternal, only begotten Son of God and was active and entirely involved in creation. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. He is the Word become flesh, and without ceasing to be God, became a man. He lived a sinless life and by His vicarious death on the cross, paid for the sins of mankind. Jesus Christ is the only means for the eternal salvation of man's soul. He died, was buried, and on the third day, rose bodily from the grave. After forty days, He ascended to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father as mediator, intercessor, and advocate for all who believe in Him. He has yet to return for His saints, judge their works, and return to earth to judge the nations and establish His millennial kingdom.

Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He is the third person of the Godhead. He was active and entirely involved in creation. The Holy Spirit inspired His Word to man. He reproves the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and is the One Who draws man to Christ for salvation. He indwells each believer and is the Person of the Godhead present on earth.

Creation - We believe God, by His Word, created the world and all things therein in six, literal, twenty-four hour days. We do not believe in any theory of evolution. Through His creation, God has partially revealed His power and intelligence. His own work declares His greatness and by it His power and Godhead is revealed.

Man - We believe God created man in His own image and likeness. Man is different than other life forms in that he is tripartite having a spirit, soul and body. Man was created to have fellowship with God but that fellowship was broken by sin. Man was created sinless but became sinful when he willfully disobeyed the commandment of God. Because of sin, man is spiritually separated from God, doomed for eternal death and in need of salvation that only Jesus Christ can give.

Sin - We believe sin is the trespassing of God's law. Sin is opposition of God's holiness. Sin originated with the devil and separates man from God. Every man is born with a sin nature and an inclination to do acts against God. The punishment for sin is eternal separation from God in the lake of fire. Only the shed blood of Christ can take away sin and declare us righteous before God.

Salvation - We believe that salvation is the act of God toward a sinner for the forgiveness of sin, saving from hell, and the reconciliation of the fellowship that God intended to have with man. We believe that salvation is for all people and not just a select few. Salvation is obtained by a person's choice to by faith, accept Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. We reject any works salvation because man cannot merit his own salvation. Salvation is a gift based on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is eternal and secure: once saved, always saved.

Blood Atonement - We believe that it was necessary not only for Christ to die, but to also shed His blood for the remission of sin. The blood of Christ is eternal and provides forgiveness of sin and access to God.

The Church - We believe the New Testament Church is a called out assembly of baptized believers organized to carry out the great commission; that is to preach the gospel, baptize believers, and make disciples of them. We reject any teaching of a universal, invisible church. We believe the church is the body of Christ, visible, and local in connection with a specific geographical area. The New Testament Church is built upon the Lord Jesus Christ, the Rock of Matthew chapters 7 and 16. The two offices of the church are pastor and deacon. The two ordinances are baptism and the Lord's supper.

Baptism - We believe baptism is to be performed by the church to those, who have by faith, received Jesus Christ as personal Savior. Baptism is the believer identifying outwardly with the death, burial, and resurrection of their Savior. Baptism is only by immersion and never replaced with sprinkling or pouring. Baptism is only a picture of salvation and is not to be dependent upon for salvation. It is an ordinance of the church and necessary for church membership.

Separation - We believe that the saved should live in a manner that would not bring reproach to their Savior and their testimony of Him. This means abstaining from worldly and sinful practices and appearance, and maintaining a right spirit toward others. We also believe that separation includes not having fellowship with those of apostate faith and liberal practice.
